Meet Our Team

For over 20 years Larry has been the stimulus behind the changes witnessed in housing renovation and environmental remediation, and has worked to ensure environmental equity and restoration in historically disinvested communities.  He has brought attention and value to blighted and undervalued properties.  He not only helps renovate homes in his community, he is also an innovator with a track record to resolve environmental issues. 

Larry has repurposed over 14 vacant clay soiled lots into high yield gardens producing enough food to take to two local markets. 

In 2000 Larry and his wife Sharon founded Walnut Way Conservation Corporation which has grown into a transformed neighborhood campus where neighbors, school children, and growers interested in nutrition come to learn and share.

He has received numerous recognitions, including the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago’s Community First Award, the Mayor’s Design Award, the Local Initiative Support Corporation’s People’s Choice Award, and received an Honorary Doctorate in Humanity from the Medical College of Wisconsin.  He was a member of a soil testing project led by the Milwaukee Health Department which was recognized as a promising practice by NACCHO.

Larry is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  

Sharon Adams believes in the transformation power of collective action and conservation stewardship.  In 2000 Sharon and her husband Larry founded Walnut Way Conservation Corporation, a community development corporation dedicated to economically diverse and environmentally sustainable neighborhoods.

Adams helped launch the Lindsay Heights Neighborhood Health Alliance and Lindsay Heights Commercial Corridors Committee, involving 40 medical, academic, government, business, and resident partners.  

She is the recipient of several awards including a Purpose Prize Fellowship, the Frank Kirkpatrick Award from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, People’s Choice award from Local Initiative Support Corporation, and the Business Journal Women of Influence.

In 2015 she and Larry formed HN Development to inspire real estate development for the common good in historically disinvested neighborhoods.  Their current project is the Adams Garden Park for environmental groups and businesses.

Sharon currently serves as a board member for the Department of Natural Resources; is a board member of Legacy Redevelopment Corporation, Walnut Way Conservation Corp., Siebert Foundation (emeritus), and MARKETPLACE BID 32 (President).  She served as board advisor for the UW-College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.  

Sharon was bestowed honorary doctorates from Alverno College and the Medical College of Milwaukee.  She attended UW-Milwaukee and Wayne State University.

Co-founder and Executive VP of Stonehouse Water Technologies, established in 2012.  Education:  Nursing Degree obtained at Moraine Park College in Wisconsin in 1992.

Anne is a Registered Nurse with 30 years of experience in various clinical, education, management, patient advocacy, and administrative roles in this field.  In 2005 She created a Wisconsin state approved Hospice training program for health care workers.  Her focus continues to reflect upon making a difference regarding peoples’ health and wellbeing.   Seeing first-hand the negative health effects coinciding with the ever-increasing amounts of contaminants found in our fresh water supply both locally and globally made her pursue a career shift.  In doing so, Anne has been able to utilize her experiences as well as tap into her desire to be an entrepreneur by generating a business geared toward developing innovative technology in the field of water purification. Anne is currently involved in obtaining several patent pending applications.

Anne has served on various ethics committees, and currently serves as a Board member for the Coerper-Maurer Foundation, and Mission Barrista Global non-profit organizations.

Dr. Moe is a well-known, published Water expert and a passionate technology innovator who is recognized by American Water Association, World Health Organization (WHO) and International Water Association (IWA). Throughout his career, he led and executed numerous state of the art Water projects for the Federal governments (EPA, NIEHS, Military, DOI, DOE); State Governments (AZ, TX, LA, CA, NV, MO, NM, WY, CO,) as well as fortune 500 companies such as Intel, ConocoPhillips, and BP.  He is a recipient of 15 Distinguished Awards related to Water projects around the world and often Invited to speak in water and technology conferences. Previously, he served as technical adviser to Water Conditioning and Purification (WC&P) magazine. In 2005, he founded Africa Children’s Charity (ACC), a nonprofit organization headquartered in Tucson, Arizona. ACC’s mission is to take in abandoned street children and provide for their food and shelter, education, spiritual, family nurturing and medical care including HIV treatment. Before joining Stonehouse, he served as President and Chief Technology Officer for FWM Technologies. Moe has obtained three degrees, a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (BSc), and a Masters and Doctorate degree in Engineering (MS, PhD) both from the University of Arizona. 

Originally from Eldoret Kenya, East Africa.  Edwin Received his IT degree from Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, MN.  His area of expertise is in the field of Information Technology & Public Health informatics.  He has over 20 years of experience working in Information Technology supporting distributed, mainframe, and other platforms across a variety of industries.  Edwin Currently works for the State of Wisconsin Department of Public Health as an Information Systems Business Analyst.  

Edwin’s personal philosophy continues to emphasize the importance of holistic healing, specifically to be useful, to be responsible, to be honorable, and to be compassionate; to stand for something, and to have made some difference to show that you have lived at all.  

“Working with Community Water Services to address issues of lead in water in our community is not only important, but long overdue.  I have a strong desire to help bring healthy drinking water to our community and help resolve the issue of lead poisoning in children.” 

Edwin is a member of the Amigos Milwaukee Rotary Club since 2017.

An engineer by trade, Rick has spent much of his career with Motorola, Inc. leading large-scale efforts to transfer emerging technologies from R&D to high volume manufacturing for commercial launch of consumer products.  He has extensive experience in electronics manufacturing, quality systems implementation, and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.  He established the specifications (design, decorating, and painting) for high throughput injection molded plastics used at multiple international manufacturing sites for a Fortune 100 Company.

Rick is currently President of DMR International based out of Illinois.  He has also held positions as a Technical Account Manager and Consultant of mechanical, electrical and optical components.

Rick has 20 U.S. patents granted (8 pending) and numerous internal strategic trade secrets to his credit.  He has developed and implemented technology that has shipped in more than 100 million consumer products world-wide.
